Things To Consider When Looking For A MBA School

Why do I need an MBA?

· Which MBA is best for me (executive, global, regular, etc)
o How much time can I afford?
o What do I intend to get out of my experience?
o How much am I willing and able to put into the program?

· Which schools and programs serve the most (return on my investment of time, money and opportunity cost)?

· What is my criteria for selecting a school/program
o Is it the amount of tuition fee?
o Is it quality of students?
o Is it the overall reputation of the school/program?
o Is it the quality of the professors who teach?

· What do I intend to do with my MBA once I am done with this experience?

· Where do I expect to be in 3 years once I graduate?

As well, check out the official GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council’s website) www.gmat.com. Make sure to go through each and every page. This may take you more than few hours but it will be worth it. I would also encourage you to talk to students who are in the university of your choosing and also who have graduated from it (alumni), schools usually provide you with this information gladly. You can also ask them to be seated in few classes to see the quality of the program etc. Ultimately, what helps you is the place where you do your MBA from because ultimately you want to work in the same region, get leverage and benefits of the network of colleagues that you would have studied with.
